About. An ADL group (Advocates for Diverse Learners) formerly known as SEPAG, is a state-mandated, district-level, parent-driven group charged with providing input to the local school district on system-level challenges in special education and related services.

State MandatedThe state of New Jersey, in the New Jersey Administrative Code 6A: 13-1.2(h), mandates that all public school districts have a SEPAG: "Each board of education shall ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities."
The regulation allows parents and school district leaders to create and run an advisory group that meets local needs. SEPAG requirements open the door to collaboration that can make a difference. A SEPAG should be structured to benefit all students with disabilities, not just a single group of students, or a single issue. The more inclusive a SEPAG is, the more opportunities there are to achieve positive outcomes. https://www.state.nj.us/education/specialed/resources/SEPAGManual.pdf |
Our GoalThe mission of the Shore Regional High School SEPAG is to facilitate communication between students, parents, staff, the Board of Education, and the community, with regards to issues surrounding the district's special education programs. Our goal is to improve the quality of special education district-wide.
Together we can make a difference in enhancing our children’s education! |
